@ThatsSoVillage Opposition bowler charging down the wicket and giving our batter (113) an aggressive send off. Next over his captain having to drag him off after bowling 3 dangerous no balls. It’s division 7 mate, half of them are kids or pensioners, calm down 😅
@DoctorBenjy I’m just really sad, first time in 15 years I’ve turned it off after 2 hours feeling kind of “meh”. I just hope every employee at that place gets paid double time for the next 11 days to make it better. But also, how bad was it when they contemplated releasing it 12 months ago?!?
@SkyCricket Commentary is wrong, the bowler's back foot must land within the return crease, meaning it cannot touch or go beyond the line. It doesn’t matter if it lifts off again afterwards, obviously it will! It is a no ball
@kimbo17071955@MartinSLewis It’s to do with risk isn’t it. The insurers deem people who auto renew more of a risk-taker than someone who shops around for a good deal. It’s wrong, but the game you gotta play
@mattroyle@MartinSLewis Absolutely. Only reason I stayed was because I’d had good service in the past. The auto renewal problem is universal across the industry, would have only happened with a new company again next year
@ruthm4x@Terry_Dickinson@MartinSLewis Exactly this. Hastings told me they are merely the broker and their underwriters send the quotes. Requoting at the 21 day mark basically halved my quote. Crazy you have to do this but that’s the way it is
@davefairless9@MartinSLewis Cause they’re all the same. The next company would do the same thing in 12 months time. I have always had good customer service with them, the renewal rip-off is an industry wide thing isn’t it. It’s totally wrong and should be illegal but until it is they will all do it
@MartinSLewis Timing is definitely key. Last time I renewed I did it the day before it was due and got no deals whatsoever. Martin recommended doing it 3-4 weeks before due and seems to have made a huge difference. Insurers seem to find people who plan ahead less risky and thus cheaper
@MartinSLewis I followed your advice re car insurance. Got my renewal quotes, £1200 up from £780 last year. Used your tool 21 days before renewal, got quotes back around £660. Phoned current insurer who “had another look”, and quoted £700. Like their app/service so stayed. Thank you so much
