Some good alcohol-free beers so far:
Heineken: 6/10
Carlsberg: 6/10
Sainsburys "low alcohol Czech lager": 7/10
Big Drop Pale Ale: 9/10
van de Streek "Playground IPA": 9/10
@tworootsbrewing@cannabrewltd Our TWO HUNDREDTH alcohol-free beer (!!) is Holy Heathen by Northern Monk, a 0.5% NEIPA: Very nice grapefruity and refreshing hop flavour; for me slightly thin, I'd like more body. But (as with their others: Holy Faith, Super Stredge) it's very nice indeed. 8/10
@tworootsbrewing My favourite of the alcohol-free beers we picked up in York: "Hops and Sunshine" by @cannabrewltd (0.5%). Delicious big whack of hops (citra and simcoe), super refreshing in this classic and basically flawless US-style IPA. 8.5/10. https://t.co/dLTs51pyEm
Pretty excited that there's now a proper sourdough bread bakery in Leiden! Stadsbakkerij Water & Bloem https://t.co/rQDMZHw9sn Good sourdough loaves, cinnamon/cardamom rolls - good old-fashioned hipster fare :)
Oh my goodness, I just made these plantain and black bean burgers (vegan) and they are gorgeous. Great chonky texture. What a great idea! https://t.co/s1q37AmAIp #nom#vegetarian (P.S. only use 100g flour)
At the Leiden #3oktober festival, we were chuffed to find a veggie version of the ceremonial dish "hutspot" (mashed carrot & potato, with some stewed meat). And it was lovely too :) #ietslekkers
Discovered another very decent vegan brie. This one is by "Jay & Joy" (from Paris!): a very nice almond+cashew cheez, with a great rind, good flavour & texture. https://t.co/RH8TNkXW2H
A nice surprise in York was to bump into a man selling probably the best selection of alcohol-free beers that I've ever seen in person! This is him: https://t.co/nN2qVzNFqW I look forward to adding some more beer reviews to my Very Long Thread soon.
