@DerekPederson3 An interesting side issue in this space is "moral deference" (and lack thereof). Lots of the tradition presumes that government should consist of experts who use their knowledge to translate the public's values into policy, which aligns with a skepticism of expertise in values.

E.g., can poor kid who got a 90 handle the work that usually only the kids who get a 95 can handle? Separate distributing rewards from predicting capacities.
