@DailyArbs I'm curious, what was the sport/situation? I would think that late in the game would be a great time to place some wagers if the outcome is almost certain...key word being almost I guess...
I’m at a party where they’re gonna put the NYE countdown on TV using their Roku streaming stick and I’m thinking to myself “there might be 20-30 seconds of latency…” 😄@_inplayLIVE
Once you start thinking of the gravitational constant
"g" in terms of Newtons/kilogram instead of m/s² the whole world looks different. My whole life has been a lie. 🌏🌐🫨🍎
@BrandonPerna Looking forward to the NEW new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new....
@apollo_calling @WickedDescentt There's a lag between the light travelling to your eyes and sound to your ears. Light travels faster than sound. They might be a few hundred yards away from the towers where they were filming.
Although both are nice, I cherish texts from friends telling me it’s my name day for a free ice cream from Trueman’s Farm more than “Happy Birthday” texts. 🍦
@brightwhite "Walkable" can mean different things to different people, too, Mountain Road in Moncton is "walkable"...in that there's a concrete sidewalk on both sides, but its only a curb-width away from 4 lanes of fast-moving traffic.
@abbydealer I've gone to Ottawa not specifically for a sandwich BUT a trip to DiRienzo's WAS one of the top items on the itinerary.
...I've also driven to Masstown just for doughnuts and cinnamon buns.
@ShoshannaW I was driving home with my guy (Grade 6) yesterday afternoon and heard it being reported on CBC radio news! he said, "oh yeah, that happened..." Still nothing from the school administration!
@visualcriminal@ajzscheile In the first two years he brought all of his knowledge of current players and defences because it was his job as a QB. It was amazing to hear him read defences and call out the plays. It was very apparent when this knowledge became outdated and he had nothing new to contribute.
@BrandonPerna I don't know why we don't see this more often. QB's leave the ball unprotected on those dives so often. Love to see the big guys rumblin' and stumblin' for the Tuddy. 🏈😷
@mcblank 😯 Similarly, school often only gets cancelled here in Sackville when it's snowing in Moncton. Weather can be very different here on the marsh. 🌬️🌨️
