Anthropic accidentally leaked their entire source code yesterday. What happened next is one of the most insane stories in tech history.

The statement from SAG-AFTRA on ByteDance’s new AI model Seedance 2.0 feels a lot like “Spotify vs the music labels” all over again.

Anyone who knows the early Spotify story remembers the backlash. Major labels pushed hard, arguing it would destroy artists’ livelihoods and collapse the industry’s economics.

Fast forward to today. Labels are still thriving. Artists are still thriving. Spotify is still thriving. The system adapted.

Every major platform shift starts with fear. Then negotiation. Then regulation. Then a new equilibrium.
