Hey fellow $Link Marines, I've drafted a calculator "Linkulator" which might help you understand what impact the DTCC and SWIFT's adoption of CCIP will have on staking revenue/rewards, and indirectly the $LINK price.

@unique_dataa@Mindless_btc@ChainLinkGod More of a feature, it helps people take a break and touch grass between being rug pulled and scammed by the memecoins with a sub-hour shelf life 😁
@cryptofordocs@ChainLinkGod@SolvProtocol Current fees are from CCIP v1.4 = CLL helped integrate the tokens.
v1.5 is just about to hit mainnet = tokens can be self-integrated by their Devs, which should increase fees quite a bit over the next few months.
v1.6 with payment abstraction next year will mean even more fees
@nullpackets Exactly, once you no longer need to worry about how to pay for what you want, the only thing that matters is what platform will see the biggest use (it's #chainlink).
As for the pooled $LINK, we can already see it won't be sold as soon as it lands, just look at staking rewards.
@wolfgoatman @nullpackets@ChainlinkP And a few months after that we should see CCIP 1.6 and payment abstraction deployed (first on testnets then mainnet) I'm guessing march/April at earliest.
Payments will flow into a service providers pool contract, and I expect some economics updates after that (staking & more).
@RareBetSports@wormhole Ahh yes, we must study the mistakes of the past in order to avoid repeating them.
But at least the name is appropriate, given wormholes can be unstable and you never know where you (or your money) could end up. 😅
@LinkiesLeaks Payment abstraction still to be audited (after current CCIP 1.6 audit), once it's live and fees are placed in a pool for service providers (nodes, stakers, CLL), there is a natural spot for staking update.
@nicucrypto Piloting/testing on testnets = no buy pressure
Piloting/testing on mainnet = negligible buy pressure
Actual adoption = noticeable buy pressure
Institutions pay CLL for dev work to pilot/test, $LINK holders invest knowing dev work will lead to buy pressure at adoption.
@ChainLinkGod In case you all are wondering who #chainlink considers to be service providers, check the Sustainable Oracle Economics section here: https://t.co/SnN8MuDe7o
Hint - stakers, node operators, and coordinators
@klink77777777 The email is an absolute scam, saw a similar one come through with different numbers and from a slightly different email address. Don't click on any links in it.
The @chainlink team doesn't collect emails when you stake, and communicates announcements on https://t.co/gQ433pY7kS
@Eight_Bit_Punk @colorado_crypto Right now the staking pool is full, once there is space you should be able to add more up to 15k $link. You don't need to unstake to add more.
For rewards, you'd need to claim them first, then stake them if there is space in the pool.
@Eight_Bit_Punk @colorado_crypto The current staking rate is paid directly by Chainlink Labs, so you can ignore it for this part of the calculation.
For SWIFT & DTCC through CCIP you can enter how much of their transactions or volume you think will flow through CCIP in the future.
@ChainlinkP If one percent of DTCC and SWIFT transactions settle using CCIP, each 1000 $Link staked today, could generate up to 146k per year (assuming 0.063% CCIP fee and stakers get just one third of that). It's wild just thinking about it.

In reality it's too early to predict how much of a mix of the two it will be.
Lastly adjust the $LINK price to make sure the the reward rate isn't too crazy (currently 4.32%), and play with the staking amount if you wish.
