@CharlesMan90282@reddit_lies compared to what? A mansion, mine, average people in the city?
I won’t be back on the farm for a few months. It’s better than the average city families apartments. Also better than the apartment I rent and one I grew up in. Not better than one I own in different state.
@CharlesMan90282@reddit_lies Our farmhouse is nice. Had plenty BBQs and holidays and extended work weeks there with the pickers. Plans for new modern farm already in place. Utilities aren’t paid by the workers. Community groceries also bought every week Ill using steaks, breakfast, snacks, and other meats
@schitzobabel@financedystop He just moved in so the price isn’t grand fathered. He doesn’t get help from his parents. Again a cheaper location would obviously be cheaper
Just because you can’t fathom it doesn’t mean it’s impossible maybe just impossible for you.
Get out of your bubble.
@schitzobabel@financedystop I live in one of the most expensive states/ city. My buddy is a fam of 6/ 4 kids. He’s the only one working. He got a 3 bedroom large house that he rents for $1600 with a garage
In cheaper cities and states rent would obviously be cheaper
It’s not impossible. You have to try
@AbakpaJob Who’s doing worse and compared to when in their own lives? Or are you comparing to someone else based on nostalgic quotes from a different time?
I assure you everyone is doing a little better than they were. Minor inconveniences happen to everyone
@Ariszn12 Home ownership was around 66% in the 90’s . . . Guess what it is today?
You don’t need a perfect credit score & in fact many first time buyers programs allow quite low scores. I’m at 800 and I was a dummy in my 20’s
Almost every program for first time buyers doesn’t require 20%
@omgsidewalks The poor will be poor in every reality. . . Unsure why people think otherwise.
It’s the easiest time in history to not be poor or to still be poor and have everything that a wealthy person had 20 years ago
@PivotBaren@DaveWave714@jeremyct It’s rules of entry only. You can pay more just towards your loan at any time.
Towards the end of your mortgage you almost pay 0 % since it’s all front loaded.
It’s easy to cut a 30 year mortgage in half while still keeping the cushion of a lower monthly if something comes up
@jeremyct Before they finalize your mortgage they show you & have you sign the amortization chart.
You know if you only pay the minimum that since you signed a 30 yr mortgage it will take 30 yrs. There’s no surprise. It’s easy to halve that or more.
We learned this in middle school
@skumWgmi My 2023 is paid off. My house is almost there. Motorcycle paid off. I have every gaming system and tech gadget I could want. I vacation twice a year and go on at least 2 work trips a year. Savings is higher than avg
It’s not hard. Many of friends do too. None of us have degrees
@BarbellFi And how long do those tires last? Do you need to spend $1000 every 6 months, year? Or do you need new tires every 3 years? Oil change yourself is cheap.
You overpayed. I just got 4 new tires for my truck and paid under $500. An oil change will cost me another <100. For a truck
