Not a nice way to start my morning
Saw two creatives on here with interesting careers
Then I started comparison. Instead of pinpointing what failed and what I’ve to do to improve
Mistakes I made building a creative career:
I was to passionate, skipped the business side
I wasn’t in environment where my talent could thrive
Gotta watch out for these moving forward
Because honestly, when I really commit to someone, I want all of you. It’s desire mixed with impulsiveness, and sometimes I don’t know how to regulate it. I’m looking forward to your texts. I see the notification that you’ve read my message and immediately I’m excited because
love, lust, desire and all of that. I’m scared it could become distracting or put me on a path I genuinely may not want to be on.
I’ve had experiences where I didn’t really plan for where things were going.
then there’s been a part of me that’s wanted to say, “Hey, can we get back to talking?”
But then there’s another part of me that doesn’t want to come across as needy. I don’t want to feel like I’m more obsessed with her than she is with me.
I was talking to this girl and we got into an argument.
I felt a connection with her, and in the course of the argument, my approach was extremely logical. I wanted to understand where it came from, what actually happened, and how we could prevent
something like that from happening again.
But I think she was much more connected to how she felt about the argument. And that’s valid. I just think we were approaching the same problem from very different places.
She eventually gave me a very stern, direct response, and since
Then I thought about my friends.
What if they were the ones who had to find out that I killed myself?
I thought about what finding out that way could do to them something that might stay with them in a way that can’t be undone.
I wake up every morning and don’t have to pay for the fact that I’m here.
If it’s a gift, I want to actually live it. Nourish it. Explore it. See how much it can become.
I think I want to find out.
It triggered something in me too. A thought of wanting to try it myself. I don’t think I had the courage to, but the thought was there.
And then, strangely, I found myself thinking about life.
Life is such a strange gift.
