In the murder case of Waris Ali, which took place on May 20, 2026, five people have reportedly been arrested so far. Swalihah alleges that her father had sold a 30×60 plot to Arun Yadav for ₹35 lakh, but through alleged fraud and forgery, around 12.5 bighas of land reportedly worth nearly ₹10 crore were transferred in the name of Arun Yadav's driver, Abhishek Bhadauria.
She further claims that Aman Yadav, the younger brother of the main accused Arun Yadav, is still roaming free and that her family continues to face threats to their safety.

In her video, Swalihah questioned what she sees as unequal treatment, saying: "If my father had killed a Hindu person, wouldn't our house have been bulldozed by now? Wouldn't my family have faced an encounter? Wouldn't links to Pakistan have been alleged? Wouldn't the media be running this story day and night?"

She said that justice should be measured by the same standard for everyone. Whether the victim is Hindu or Muslim, the law should provide equal justice without discrimination.
