Was playing around in some external programs trying to learn how to edit meshes and textures for the game and I think I may have accidentally made something cool I can use (before and after)
@The_Rabbit42 Yeeeees, love it so much! The level design in the Dishonored series is honestly inspiring. Not ashamed to say that a majority of my reports while in college were based on this amazing game.
Was struggling with the idea of how to make my world stand out from the rest of Skyrim, and also play into the kind of arcane theme I've been keeping with for the mod. Have a cool idea of how I want to bring everything together and I found the perfect template to start things off

Did some work on the world landscape. I couldn't find a way to easily edit/paint trees onto the world as you can with grass, so I had to manually place each of the trees. Every. Last. One.
@GinaLBruno Hype! Can't wait to see what you guys have planned! I really respect what you guys are doing with the game, and I hope everything goes well with the stream for you.
The portal nexus room marks the last area I needed to finish for the interior of the house, so I'm moving on to creating a unique exterior worldspace in order to house and connect my work to the rest of Skyrim (and also to test and expand my design skills).
Been preoccupied keeping up with job/life issues so I haven't had time to work on my mod lately. Buuuut I have time and a lot of motivation now so I'll be posting work more frequently! First up are some pics of a nexus area containing portals to all of Skyrim's main cities.
The crystals help with this and also serve to add different weights to each side of the room. I also added particle effects above the stairways in the house with one set of particles signifying "forwards" (see big crystal) and another set signifying floor rooms (crafting area)
Here's the entryway of the house! The magical beams serve to guide the player to move from room to room through their path. Meanwhile, the statue with the ice crystals is meant to direct the player to different tower levels (the right stairway is emphasized with the big crystal).
I struggled a bit with this area because I was worried the player could eventually encounter issues with navigating the tower and remembering what stairs lead where, so I wanted to try to provide landmarks to orientate themselves around.
