Welp… today is my birthday and I am turning 56. Did I really just say 56 out loud? 😂

Time used to stroll. Now it hauls tail. One minute you’re young and invincible, the next you’re 56 checking the weather before you commit to anything and wondering when your body started holding grudges.

This year I’m slowing down on purpose. More of the little things. More quality time with my husband, my son, family, and the friends who didn’t disappear when life got real. Less rushing. More living.

56 is going to be about that… and getting healthy. Because another thing getting older does? It gets you a little closer to THAT DAY 🤣 and I’d like to have some energy and quality of life left until the Good Lord decides He’s ready for this spicy mess.

Thank you to everyone who’s still here — the ones who laugh with me, put up with me, pray for me, and haven’t blocked me yet. I don’t take y’all for granted.

Here’s to another trip around the sun. ☀️

To freedom.
To family.
To friends.
To faith.
