Thursday was Wear Purple Day during October’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month — and everyone at NNLA did proudly. By wearing purple, we not only hope to bring greater awareness to domestic violence, we also hope to show support to all victims of domestic violence.

On hot days like today, beachgoers got quite the surprise when they saw a bear trying to beat the heat at Pope Beach in South Lake Tahoe.
Listen, not everyone's trauma gives them thick skin. Some people's trauma made them more sensitive and insecure, they cry more easily, get overwhelmed at small tings. The narrative that trauma makes you stronger is a lie. There is, power in acknowledging it and growing from it.
