How does the brain hold information in working memory for seconds without it fading instantly?

A key idea from neuroscience & neuromorphic modeling: neural integrators.

These are recurrently connected populations of spiking neurons that can maintain a value over time — like a biological "RAM".

@MaxHirsch13 damn man that fucking sucks. were u able to recover something?

sorry for u man

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

@carllerche really nice, i’m gonna try it with my small models.

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

@airesearch12 really thoughtful. will definitely keep an eye on it.

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

@umeshonai oh sorry, i misunderstood. it’s redundant indeed. scheduling makes more sense.

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

@rutherfordml and the engineering part should be built in parallel?

@Jadu100x def agree, fixing model code without breaking it matters more than new releases. do you make it write tests first?

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

@TeksEdge a 12B in ~6GB is the cool part. how do you check it keeps the facts? rewriters usually slip on numbers

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

@Arindam_1729 AGENTS.md holds the rules, but decisions go stale fast. how do you keep that part from turning into a giant log?

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

@EntrepreneursAI same gap as microsoft's diagnosis study: NEJM cases, not real patients. we have to actually how it behaves with real patients data. what’s would prove clinical value to you?

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

@GiulioTerzi notizia che fa riflettere. si sa se gli agenti avevano già i permessi per farlo o se hanno trovato un modo da soli?

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

@EdwardRaffML @leothecurious @jon_barron great!! i’ll start following him

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

@elizacpd @Valerio000j sicuramente non é il denaro a fare la felicità. sono più che d’accordo. però credo che una persona che lavora abbia diritto a potersi levare qualche sfizio senza sentirsi la colpa di aver speso il poco denaro che ha.

@axhiii88547 as with ultrafast inference, the problem is not AI, the world they interact with is. Startups are born way faster than in any time in history, making them succeed is still an old world problem.

@patrick_kuhnke_ yes, but try making a website by hand now hahah, that feels like 100x honestly.
