How does the brain hold information in working memory for seconds without it fading instantly?

A key idea from neuroscience & neuromorphic modeling: neural integrators.

These are recurrently connected populations of spiking neurons that can maintain a value over time — like a biological "RAM".

@HillaryLinMD finding the paper and checking it supports the answer as two checks is so true. which one fails more often?

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

@Tuminha_dds 'would a maintainer merge it' is the right bar. who decides what counts as an easy ticket, you or a router?

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

@paradigmainc local graphs with no account is great for experiments i'd rather keep offline. can a local repo sync up later?

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

@leerob a whatsapp integration would be great.

i sometimes feel the need to have a library of all the artifacts my agent has made me.

having it make calls would be awesome.

@Saanvi_dhillon 2FA mainly

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

@vipinxtwt i built a polished flashcards app, a SaaS for studying with AI, a small language model and various side projects. Let’s connect.

@CreativeDima i agree, many times desktop is great and mobile sucks. if they get mobile right, then desktop is awesome.

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

@ShinkaIoT the untrained operator is the real news. as a med student i'd ask: who catches the scans where it's confidently wrong?

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

@Astrodevil_ prune and compact is underrated. how do you pick what gets dropped? that's where my agents lose the detail that mattered

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

@LShivkumarreddy bad news for reproducibility: if the model is gone, nobody can recheck your numbers. any pattern in which ones got pulled?

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

[Nooscriptor @nooscriptor]

@Kisalay_ a sandbox per agent feels overdue. does it keep state between runs, or does every task start from zero?
