Welcome to Your Month of OPEN DOORS!
““I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.”
Revelation 3:8 NKJV
Happy New Month Friends...
Christmas time is that time to reflect and ask yourself what you really want.
What truly fulfills?
Christmas is a reminder of Jesus and the free gift of forgiveness only he can offer.
Reflecting on this reminds me of all I have went through
And how he has brought me through it all.
Letting go resentment is hard but when Jesus reveals hisself as willing and able, it’s hard to deny him.
Hope wherever you are you can lean into this love that meets us exactly where we are no matter what.
On Monday (Dec 15) an anonymous donor walked into a PEP store in Aberdeen, Eastern Cape, and paid off all 260 unpaid lay-bys, totalling R132 500.
The Good Samaritan simply asked store staff how many lay-bys were outstanding and then settled the full amount on the spot.
“We were completely surprised,” says Beyers van der Merwe, PEP Chief Marketing Executive. “This act of kindness gave 260 families the relief and dignity of taking home essentials such as school items and baby clothing — many just in time for the festive season.”
The PEP Lay-by Buddy Initiative has raised more than R3.6 million since 2020 and supported more than 150 000 families nationwide. This year, Pepkor added R1 million to extend the initiative’s reach.
The initiative was inspired by public response to a man paying off every single outstanding lay-by at a PEP store in Mossel Bay in 2019.
