Robert Spencer just destroyed J.D. Hall’s attempt on Tucker Carlson to whitewash 1,400 years of Islamic treatment of Christians.

Hall claimed the Ottomans were “very kind” to Christians, didn’t tax churches, and rebuilt the Church of the Holy Sepulchre - implying Islamic rule was somehow better for Christians than modern Israel.

Spencer eviscerated this revisionist nonsense with cold, documented facts.

No Equality. Ever!

Under Islamic law, equality between Muslims and non-Muslims has never existed and cannot exist. Spencer stated plainly:

“It has never existed, and I would venture to suggest that it never will exist, because Islamic law forbids it.”

The Quran calls Christians and Jews the most vile of created beings - like animals - and commands Muslims to be ruthless toward unbelievers. You don’t give “vile subhumans” equal rights when your holy book dehumanizes them.

🚨Dhimmitude: Institutionalized Humiliation

Christians were (and under Sharia, still are) dhimmis - tolerated but permanently subordinate. They paid the jizya poll tax mandated in Quran 9:29: “with willing submission and feel themselves subdued.”

Islamic jurists didn’t treat this as a normal tax. They added deliberate humiliation:

🔺Slap the back of their necks
🔺Force them to the narrowest side of the road
🔺Distinctive clothing and colors
🔺Ban on riding horses
🔺Ban on building or repairing churches

The Ottomans didn’t “kindly” rebuild churches out of benevolence. They had already destroyed or converted thousands of churches into mosques - including the Hagia Sophia, once the greatest cathedral in Christendom.

The Fatimid Caliph al-Hakim leveled the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in 1009. Later Ottoman “repairs” were cynical moves by a weakening empire trying to keep Christians loyal - not proof of tolerance.

Hall’s selective focus on minor repairs while ignoring mass destruction and conversion is, as Spencer said, “surpassingly dishonest.”

🚨The Modern Contrast Spencer Exposed

In Israel:

Christians have full legal equality.
They can worship freely.
The Christian population has grown.
Occasional rude behavior (like spitting on the ground) exists - Spencer called it out as rude but irrelevant compared to the alternative.

🚨In the Muslim world:

Ongoing genocide of Christians in Nigeria (daily jihad massacres)
Christians reduced to “sweepers” in Pakistan and garbage collectors in Egypt
Churches attacked and Christians fleeing across the Middle East and Africa

Spencer’s verdict: “If it’s a choice, I’d rather have somebody spitting in my direction… the idea that this is some widespread practice [in Israel] is fantasy.”

🚨The Real Agenda

Tucker’s segment wasn’t neutral history. It was an attempt to make conservatives hate Israel, downplay the jihad threat, and portray Islam as historically tolerant while painting the Jewish state as the real villain for Christians.

Robert Spencer exposed it for what it is: dangerous historical revisionism that helps those who want to repeat the patterns of the past.

Their documented “Project” calls for building Islamic schools across the West to prevent assimilation, control education through an Islamic lens, and create parallel communities that live by deen instead of Western values.

In Arkansas, Huda Academy - the state’s only full-time Islamic school - is now constructing a massive new 10-acre campus with state voucher money.

It has documented ties to Muslim Brotherhood-linked groups (NAIT and ISNA), leadership trained at Al-Azhar University, and is expanding rapidly while openly prioritizing Islamic identity over integration.

They are expanding fast while being completely open about their goal: raising children who live deen fully.

Most Americans still see these schools as harmless religious institutions.

The people running them see something very different.

This is what the Brotherhood’s blueprint looks like when it’s actually being built - with public money and political support.
