@SteveNa30618036 @SRuhle I grew up with parents who used this kind of "teachable moment" all the time, and I'm telling you, it's bullshit. Kids aren't to blame for the family they're born into, and making them feel bad won't make them grow up to be charitable.
@SabbaiSabbai When Will was a 9-yr-o goalie he used to report the on-ice trash talk to me. My fave was the Belleville player who would respond to "eat my nuts!" with a hearty "PRESENT THEM!"
@aaronhoyland @heathermmoore I had two homebirths. One of my midwives once told me that statistically, in terms of fetal and maternal mortality, "in the car" is the safest place to have a baby (fast births are often the safest). Don't know that I'd recommend it with twins!
@MikeThornley6@susie_blyth@PeelPolice He got about twenty yards before he was de-boarded for non-payment. We were running after the bus, driver handed him out to us, laughing. Nobody rides for free.
@susie_blyth@PeelPolice My son, at 3, was on a walk with BOTH his parents and managed to board a city bus before we could stop him. The doors opened at a stop, he jumped in, doors closed, off he went. It's not so hard to imagine.
@malinivjkumar When I was in law school in the early 1990s my father-in-law actually believed that men graduated from law school as lawyers but women graduated (from the same program!) as legal secretaries.
Roofers removing my 1866 slate roof today. So incredible that all this slate was brought here via horse and wagon, and was hand cut to accommodate vents and nails using methods my current roofers say they don't even understand.
just a reminder that what happened in gravenhurst yesterday was an adult assaulting a child. i see some people trying to twist the story to make it sound like a 12 year old boy being pushed to the ground by a police officer is somehow his fault. it’s not.
@SabbaiSabbai A few of Will's friends attend this uni in sports management programs... So midwifery is being cut but sports management gets to stay? Odd priorities...
