🇻🇪 #Venezuela: Venezuela's Defence Minister led mass drills in Carcas with around 4000 Bolivarian Militia under Maduro's "People Go to the Barracks" plan.

On September 5th, President Maduro announced the formation of 5,336 Communal Militia Units, grouped under a new framework called the "Popular Integral Defence Base".

These units are meant to strengthen grassroots military organization and bring local communities directly into the country's defence strategy amid growing tensions with the United States, following incidents such as the targeting of Venezuelan vessels and the presence of U.S. warships in the region.

🇲🇽 #Mexico: Footage recorded by a member of the Mencho Special Forces (FEM) shows a firefight in the forests of Michoacán between CJNG and rival cartel members.

The Mencho Special Forces (Fuerzas Especiales Mencho) are an elite group of sicarios tasked with the personal protection of the CJNG leader. Based in rural Jalisco, they were allegedly responsible for the downing of a military helicopter in 2015.

🇩🇪 #Germany: Activists from Palestine Action have broken into the Elbit Systems weapons factory in Ulm, dismantling tools which are used to manufacture weapon systems that are then sent to the Israeli army.

The Ulm factory, is owned by Israel's biggest weapons producer, manufactures both conventional and unmanned weaponry (drones) and designs software used for target acquisition (radar systems, thermal imagery etc).

Previously, in August, activists tried to block the entrance of the factory, setting up a protest camp.

🇬🇧 #UK: A 15-year-old boy from near Market Drayton, Shropshire, has been detained for 18 months after police found a stash of weapons including crossbows, air weapons, a samurai sword and a stun gun. He had described himself as a "Nazi" and discussed online whether to "shoot up" his school.

The teenager admitted possessing prohibited weapons and extremist material from a manifesto. The judge on his case stressed the fact that he had "terrorist motivations, both racial and ideological" and posed a “real risk” of carrying out an attack.

Previously, the IDF has struck the same church back in July with a tank shell, killing two civilians and wounding several others.
