🇺🇸 #US – 🇵🇸 #Palestine: US congressional candidate Brad Lander was detained by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank while harvesting olives alongside Palestinian farmers and international volunteers.

Lander was released after around three hours on Wednesday, while dozens of other participants reportedly remained detained. Israeli authorities said the group had failed to coordinate the harvest with them in advance.

🇦🇺 #Australia: Australia has adopted Anduril’s Ghost Shark, an extra-large autonomous underwater drone capable of carrying naval mines and deploy swarms of drones for reconnaissance and strike missions.

The Royal Australian Navy's Ghost Sharks are now rolling off the production line, with payload testing underway.

🇰🇵 #NorthKorea - 🇰🇷 #SouthKorea: North Korea is considering restarting loudspeaker broadcasts near the border with South Korea, blasting propaganda messages across the border, and deploying additional "tactical weapons".

The statement was made by Kim Yo Jong, the sister of Kim Jong Un.

This comes after a landmine explosion near the DMZ seriously injured several South Korean soldiers earlier this month and the alleged exchange of warning shots between the two sides.

🇨🇴 #Colombia: Colombian Army soldiers have found and destroyed around 600 KG of improvised explosive devices planted beneath a manhole on the Pan-American Highway in Cauca.

The explosive was planted between Piedra Sentada and the El Bordo toll booth.

The operation took six hours. The area was also marked with several road signs which FARC dissidents are using to mark their territories.

🇬🇧 #UK – 🇸🇦 #SaudiArabia: The UK will deploy RAF Typhoon fighter jets to Saudi Arabia to protect the country from Houthi aerial attacks.

The jets will conduct "defensive missions only". No offensive strikes are planned.

An RAF A400M transport aircraft and military advisers will also be deployed to support the movement of defence equipment. The RAF Voyager refuelling mission has been extended by 90 days.

🇫🇷 #France: Police have imposed overnight curfews in parts of Paris and several other cities following days of riots and looting.

In Paris, curfews will run from 11 PM to 6 AM, with protests also banned in certain areas. Nice has imposed a curfew for minors, while Lyon and Lille have introduced other restrictions.

The measures come after more than 350 arrests in Paris on Sunday and reports that around 2,000 businesses have been affected by the unrest.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has warned that a state of emergency could be declared if necessary.

🇳🇬 #Nigeria: ISWAP (Islamic State West Africa Province) has ambushed a Nigerian army base in Mairari, Borno State.

The camp was set on fire during the raid. The group released footage and a statement about the attack through its own media channel yesterday. The claimed casualties and extent of the damage cannot be independently verified.

🇷🇴 #Romania: A seventh-grade student wearing a helmet and balaclava stabbed a teacher and injured another student at Ștefan cel Mare Middle School in Bistrița.

Before the attack, he posted on TikTok that he had been planning it for eight months, writing, “This is it, lads! See you in Valhalla”. He also posed with a knife and made the 👌 hand sign, which has become associated with violent and white supremacist groups.

The attack comes amid a growing wave of similar cases involving teenagers in Poland, South Africa and elsewhere, linked to online communities glorifying school attacks and mass shootings.

🇵🇸 #Palestine - 🇮🇱 #Israel: Israeli settlers attacked European diplomats, a French mayor and the Archbishop of Cambrai in Taybeh yesterday, injuring three people and damaging a Belgian diplomatic vehicle.

The delegation was taking part in an olive harvest alongside Palestinians when a group of seven masked settlers, some armed with clubs, attacked them.

The attackers had earlier assaulted Palestinian olive pickers, including a woman in her 70s, and beaten a man so badly he required six stitches to his head.

🇨🇦 #Canada: A major fire broke out at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright in Alberta overnight leaving multiple people dead and others injured.

The fire started in the base’s training area at around 4 PM local time before spreading beyond its boundaries, with strong winds contributing to its rapid spread.

The exact number of casualties remains unknown, as the Canadian Armed Forces are still assessing the situation and notifying victims’ families. The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed, and the RCMP is assisting with the response.

🇷🇴 #Romania: Romanian Air Force F-16 fighter jets shot down two Russian Geran attack drones over the country's territorial waters in the Black Sea yesterday.

The drones were detected approximately 120 km east of Snake Island. The aircraft, scrambled from Borcea Air Base, intercepted the targets in Romanian airspace.

Attached footage released by Romania's Ministry of National Defence shows the interception from the perspective of a Romanian F-16 fighter jet.
