Picturesque fallow deer at Broadland Country Park in Norfolk. Great to hear from Dave Weaver and Jules Kennely on how the heathland, mire and woodlands are being managed. Fantastic to see a Council investing in nature and public access to the countryside.
@NENorfolkSufflk@AstleyEstate This is great to see. I’ve just moved to Swanton Novers and work as an ecologist. If there are any opportunities to help with the woods for surveys or practical work I would love to help!
Came across this ditch on a survey in some heathland, seems to have some white crusty stuff on all the silted vegetation in the water, does anyone know what might have caused this?
Come work with Lanpro! We have some great assistant/consultant ecologist roles going in Norwich and Cambridge. A really multi-disciplinary environment to gain experience with. Check out the opportunities here: https://t.co/8abW5SiJID
Some nice fungi finds today at Whitlingham Woods with Jeremy and @VannaBartlett1. Fenugreek stalkball, conifer conecap, contorted pipe club and lilac fibrecap.
The #NutrientNeutrality amendment has been published.
With these harmless-looking words, Government wants to disapply the #HabitatsRegulations to allow pollution without mitigation in England's most sensitive nature sites.
Parliamentarians concerned about rivers, plz vote "no".
