Bernard's mother and family went out of their way to tell me that they would be praying for my family in Gaza. We hugged, we cried, and we promised to re-dedicate ourselves to peace and to be unequivocal; no innocent man, woman, or child should pay the price of another's actions.
'A complete, utter human tragedy'
Humza Yousaf, First Minister of Scotland, spoke to #BBCBreakfast about the explosion at a hospital in Gaza which has killed hundreds of people

My brother-in-law, a doctor in Gaza, is spending his seventh consecutive day in hospital. Nadia spoke to him & said he should go home to rest, his response "I can't leave my people when they need me."
Health workers in Gaza are heroes.

The people of Gaza are a proud people.
Many don't want to leave, and shouldn't have to.
But for those displaced, who want to leave, there should be a worldwide refugee scheme.
Scotland is willing to be a place of sanctuary and be the first country to take those refugees.
Shameful that UK citizens trapped in Gaza dont even get a mention. Might be helpful if you give them at least a passing mention in your discussions.
They're trapped in a warzone & need you, Foreign Secretary, to demand a ceasefire, and the Rafah crossing opened to let them out.
Good wishes to two of our team James Docherty & Kirsty Giles, who are off to Sweden tomorrow & presenting at the International Conference on Law Enforcement & Public Health 🇸🇪 🏴

Gordon and I have known Ann Gloag for many years through her huge personal commitment to Freedom from Fistula and supporting girls' health & education. She is a remarkable campaigner and quietly generous charity supporter. These charges just don't add up.

Today @KevinStewartSNP met with @tipherethltd.
By meeting with people directly we are gaining valuable insights of what people with learning disabilities and additional support needs want from a National Care Service.
How do you come back as a young man who at the age of 17 had his life changed by a knife attack. You set up a gym of course and mix physical & mental exercise to support others . A must listen piece of radio https://t.co/otHYusXrAq
Enough is enough. In the U.S. and across the world, working people are fighting back. They are sick and tired of seeing the rich get richer, while workers fall further and further behind. We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in the UK.
We have the most profound and bizarre psychological block against providing assistance to people in need in cash.
We insist against all evidence that they will mostly waste it.
In fact cash is the single most practical, efficient and effective intervention for improving lives.
