I just grilled Children's Minister Norma Foley on the fact that RTÉ is promoting a reading list that includes a book instructing children under 16 on how to perform an*l s*x, including the use of lube, cleaning one's backside, and more. Video coming soon on @griptmedia.
@BTriagain@sinnfeinireland Number 1 is @MaryLouMcDonald has got to go.
If you look back over the last 3 years of her leaders questions, they R weak + repetitive. Its like she isnt even believing what she is saying anymore.
She hasnt once had a "got ya" moment and god knows there should be plenty. GOTTA GO
“The problem isn’t that a plan has failed, it’s that there was never a plan at all”
Sinéad O’Sullivan is becoming one of the most important voices in Ireland.
Her most recent essay “I is for Immigration” is superb.
But what fascinates me is how quickly her message has crossed into the mainstream.
She is now a regular in Irish Times pieces, David McWilliams podcasts and seems to have been somewhat accepted by “the Left”.
Establishment audiences are now suddenly engaging with points that were dismissed outright as “far right”.
And to be clear, I’m delighted. 😀
It’s everything we’ve been talking about on X for years.
But what’s most impressive is O’Sullivan’s willingness to raise the alarm on the scale and speed of immigration from India. 🇮🇳
She makes the uncomfortable point that the middle class are already feeling competition for housing, healthcare, schools etc.
She stresses that the new EU/India trade deal will make things a lot worse. That our English speaking/US tech scene is a magnate for Indian migrants in the EU.
But how is she able to bring these arguments to mainstream without being outcasted ?
Maybe it’s depth of research?
Maybe it’s her accent or mannerisms?Maybe it’s because she frames immigration within the broader failure of Irish state capacity?
Either way it feels like an adult has finally been allowed into the room.
@SineadOS1 👏 🙏 🇮🇪
I have been reported to child protective services for (and I quote) “stating that children should be protected from foreign rapists”
Meanwhile, these freaks are indoctrinating their children on this scale…
@fiannafailparty@MichealMartinTD For @MichealMartinTD to even say that housing is the biggest issue on the doors in East Wall is a disgrace.
He wont acknowledge the big PINK ELEPHANT
Hes a coward and his candidates havent a hope in the by elections
I am deeply disappointed by the recent comments made by former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern regarding immigrants in Ireland.
To hear immigrants being singled out and unfairly blamed by a former Taoiseach and serving member of the Council of State is deeply disturbing. Such remarks reflect a worrying lack of understanding and risk undermining the values of respect and inclusion that Irish society stands for.
While it is important to discuss the challenges facing Ireland openly and honestly, we must avoid rhetoric that scapegoats entire communities. Immigrants across Ireland contribute positively every day through their work, service, and commitment to this country.
I would respectfully urge Mr Ahern to reflect carefully on the impact such comments can have on community relations and social cohesion. Ireland is strongest when it leads with fairness, dignity, and mutual respect.
