Shifty Coalition relabels data to hide failure/real truth. They falsify stats to stay in power, shift targets & goalposts to mislead voters. I.e ObegalX, Levies/Govt charges aren't new taxes but Labours are, targets they set & miss are aspirational but not when Lab misses them
“I wanted to see two things from Labour over the weekend: a bit of mongrel and some old-style socialism from a hero of the working people. Both were present.”

My dear left and/or slightly left friends. Before you consider switching your party vote to the so-called 'blue-teal' of the imho ludicrously named 'Opportunity Party' please consider this:
1. As far as I can assertain this party's structure is ENTIRELY undemocratic. It is governed by a three person, unelected board. They select all the candidates. The party 'membership' does not get to vote on anything internal to the party, and especially not policy.
2. It's new leader, a very personable and erudite younger person, applied for the leadership role as one would a JOB, from an advertisement. She has no previous history as an active member of a political party, or activist of any kind, and we have no idea of what her real deeply held political views are - if any. She was essentially hired as a spokesperson by a small, undemocratic board. This party appears to be essentially a corporate structure that makes National look super democratic...
3. The party's day to day operations are run by a former Labour Cabinet Minister who was publicly sacked by Jacinda Ardern in 2020 for a severe lack of judgment involving an inappropriate relationship with a staffer under his authority, which ended his parliamentary career in disgrace.
4. The 'party' is massively funded by some real big money Kiwis.
If, after reading that - and checking the facts, you think yep, I'll vote for that, then good luck to you I guess.
I couldn't. YMMV

Joel Kim Booster has said what we’re all thinking about the influx of hockey shows following the international success of ‘Heated Rivalry’.
The writer and star of ‘Fire Island’ spoke to the Provincetown Independent about how the industry seems to be moving away from putting queerness centre stage, despite the popularity of ‘Heated Rivalry’.
He said, “There are now six hockey shows in development, none of them gay, and it’s like, guys, I think it wasn’t the hockey that was the big issue.”

According to a 2019 paper, homosexuality has been observed in over 1,500 species. Homophobia has only been observed in one.
It’s a fact. The real question is why that matters in the first place.

#humanrights: New Human Rights Report Raises Alarm Over Growing Inequality In Aotearoa
Aotearoa New Zealand is continuing to fall short on protecting fundamental human rights, according to newly released international data that highlights ongoing concerns over housing, food security, employment and equal access to basic services. Two Muslim men pulled an elderly couple and their grandson from a burning house in Leeds last Friday.
You probably didn’t hear about it.
Mohsin Qayyum. 22.
Mohammed Yusuf Iqbal. 20.
Both from Bradford.
They drove past the garden. They saw the fire. They ran straight in.
Sheila Robinson, the grandmother who was trapped inside, posted on social media:
"My family and I will be forever grateful to these young men."
Her granddaughter Kayla wrote:
"Drove past the garden, seen it, and ran straight in and made sure everyone was okay without a second thought."
Everyone got out. The house can be replaced. The family is alive.
Every outlet that covered it called them heroes.
They deserved every word.
But not one headline told you they were Muslim men.
We have seen this before.
Two weeks ago, a teacher was stabbed in the neck protecting his pupils from a knife in his Manchester classroom.
Maysum Abdullah. 27. Science teacher.
LBC named him a hero. So did the Independent, the Manchester Evening News, the Mirror, the Sun.
He ran towards the blade.
A hero in every paper. A Muslim man in none of them.
This is the pattern.
When a Muslim name appears in a crime, the faith leads the headline.
When a Muslim name appears in a rescue, it vanishes from the page.
Now look at who that erasure clears the path for.
Bradford, the same district these men come from, is now led by Reform as its largest party.
One of their candidates, Daniel Devaney, topped the poll in his ward after writing on Facebook that Muslims were "pure scum" and that he wanted to "blast [them] off the face of the earth."
He was not deselected. He was not suspended. He was elected.
They are loud about our religion when they want to call it a threat.
They are silent when that same religion sends two young men running into a fire.
The book they want to criticise is the same book that commands us to save a life.
"Whoever saves one life, it is as if he had saved all of mankind."
— Qur'an 5:32
Qayyum and Iqbal lived that verse on a Friday in Leeds.
Abdullah lived it in a Manchester classroom.
And the headlines recorded the act, but erased the faith that drove it.
When we are the suspect, our religion is the whole story.
When we are the rescuer, it is not worth a line.
Their names are Maysum Abdullah, Mohsin Qayyum, and Mohammed Yusuf Iqbal.
Muslim men.
Say both.

The secret meeting.
Luxon: What I’d just say to you is; It would be a great opportunity to mislead the left wing voters & form a coalition because we’re tanking in the polls.
