🏗🏚The winners of the international architectural contest for the restoration of Northern Saltivka, initiated by the city together with the Norman Foster Foundation @normanfosterfdn as part of the development of the Master Plan concept, have been announced in #Kharkiv.
258 participants from all over the world took part in the contest, three of them, according to the jury, became the winners.
According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, these projects will be turned into actual design solutions that will then be implemented in construction.

Despite the escalation of russian terror, step by step we continue to lay the foundation for the future recovery of our City.
As part of the Kharkiv Master Plan Concept project, the City Council, together with the @NormanFosterFdn, @UNECE , @Arup and Institute Kharkivproekt, is announcing an international competition to restore the most affected area, the Northern Saltivka.
The main task will be to develop a programme for the modernisation of the affected apartment buildings to improve their safety and energy efficiency, as well as to create a comfortable public space around them.
We invite architects, urban planners, engineers, and designers from all over the world to participate. The winners' projects will not only be implemented, but also used in other locations within the community.
All communication, including the presentation, will be in English. The deadline for applications is 12 September 2024.

У рамках проєкту «Концепція Генерального плану міста Харкова» спільно з Фондом Нормана Фостера, ЄЕК ООН, компанією «Arup» та інститутом «Харківпроект» міська рада оголошує міжнародний конкурс з відновлення найбільш постраждалого району - Північної Салтівки.
Основне завдання полягатиме в розробці програми модернізації пошкоджених багатоквартирних будинків з урахуванням підвищення рівня їхньої безпеки та енергоефективності, а також у створенні зручного громадського простору навколо.
Запрошуємо до участі архітекторів, містобудівників, інженерів та проєктантів з усіх куточків земної кулі. Проєкти переможців не лише будуть втілені в життя, а й застосовані в інших локаціях у межах громади.
