Many older codebases use #4, the one that gets the least expert attention, unfortunately.

@jayrosen_nyu Strunk & White's fave comes in here (mine, too): The delightfully mispunctuated News-Free Press of Chattanooga, which existed in the 40s and 50s. The unfortunate hyphen makes it sound like one of the Presses, with the odd feature of repudiating membership in your bin 2.
