This week the Pan-Lancashire Safeguarding Adults Boards will deliver a programme of learning and activity as part of a Mental Capacity Assessment (MCA) week of action.
Principle 1 - Every adult has the right to make his/her own decisions and must be assumed to have capacity to do so unless it is proved otherwise. You cannot assume that someone cannot make a decision for themselves, because they have a particular medical condition or disability
