@volt4ire @Gothamist Have you not seen the breakdown of the voters??? It is true. I live in Valdez’s district. Notice the poorest part of the district, the area most East (further from Manhattan) Reynoso won…you are proving my point. The rest has been gentrified.

@DeepNotShallow DSA only makes waves in gentrified areas where you have transplants who move into cheaper black/brown/immigrant areas. northern Brooklyn, western queens and now it’s coming for the Bx/N. Manhattan. They also depend on low voter turnout in these areas.

It needs $80bil in repairs and the residents pay well below market rate rents. goal is socialized housing with no private ownership. We’re screwed. DSA SUCKS
