Kevin O’Leary delivering a very passionate speech about data centers with lots of applause lines. “We have got to change the narrative on what data centers are. They’re very different than they were 20 years ago.”
Also, Kevin saying he got FERC’d (it’s an agency) is sending me.
Good to see Sen. Mark Warner, my former boss and a former tech guy, and Sen. Mike Rounds receive the Bipartisan Leadership on AI Award. Congress won’t make meaningful progress on AI if we stay divided. This is exactly the kind of bipartisan leadership the moment requires.
Love Sen. Warner acknowledging that Virginia is the data center capital of the world. Yes, we need smart policy and guardrails. But a complete moratorium, like Sanders is suggesting, completely misses the mark and misunderstands the issue.
WSJ reports from inside the senators meeting with Platner. Some interesting details where his biggest backers pressed him if any additional allegations were coming.
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders asked Platner if any additional allegations would emerge against the embattled Democratic candidate, according to people familiar with the discussion. Platner said there weren’t any.
Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who also attended the meeting, followed up and said there is a big difference between marital issues and allegations of sexual assault, the people said. Platner agreed and denied any credible allegations of assault were forthcoming.

James Carville at WelcomeFest reminding folks who actually decides the direction of the Democratic Party, and that southern Black voters are not progressives.
And the church said, amen!
Talked to Reuters about Talarico and the culture war attacks coming his way. Some old comments were cringe. He said that. Good. Knock it out of the way and get back to what voters care about.
All congratulations to the Iowa Democratic Party here. They picked quality candidates and stayed focused on what matters to Iowans. A lot of Democrats gave up on Iowa, but the state party keeps making the case that we should believe.
Then why did she tell constituents who were worried about their own children that she didn’t care about homeless encampments?
LA voters wanted a serious vision on public safety. She never provided one. She stuck to her DSA brand, and now she’s in tears. Fitting.
In an emotional moment, Nithya Raman broke into tears during her address to supporters as she spoke about wanting to build a Los Angeles for her children.
Why did leftists decide that manifestly low conscientiousness is a mark of "authenticity"? They did it with Fetterman, it blew up in their face, and now they've done it again with Platner: falling in love with an obviously unreliable underemployed weirdo. https://t.co/cid5VoEtsW
@CR07100710@NextUpHalperin@MarkHalperin I think that’s what’s most disappointing here. There’s a moment for him to stand in the gap and own his own actions. He chooses instead to put his wife at the forefront to bear the brunt of his poor decision-making.
My take on @grahamformaine’s claim he didn’t know he had a Nazi tattoo on his chest for 17 years:
“You know what your tattoo is. I have two tattoos and I know exactly what they mean because they are tattooed on my body. And if I got drunk and got something tattooed, I wouldn’t keep it for 15 years without checking it out. You can google it now or use google images. 15 or 17 years later? I don’t buy it. I think people know what their tattoos are.”

What is the biggest mistake Graham Platner keeps making?
@yemisi explains why showing contrition could be critical to his political future.

When I started working in the Senate almost a decade ago, I was in awe of Barbara Boxer and the legacy she built. Such an honor to have followed in that legacy as a USC Barbara Boxer Fellow. Fight on!
Thanks to Spring 2026 CPF Fellow @yemisi Egbewole for an amazing semester! We appreciate you sharing your insights with the CPF & USC communities. You'll always be part of the CPF family!
