Just after 5 pm on Sunday, a motorist was stopped on Lenore Dr at 114 km/h in the 50 zone. This resulted in a $965 fine and the vehicle being impounded. #SlowDownYXE
It's very difficult to be polite sometimes:
Me: just had you at 80 in the 50(showing the laser)
Driver: that can't be right
Me: it's target specific
Driver: this car goes fast
Me: Yup, to 80
Driver: had to get by the slow cars
Me: the ones doing the speed limit?
@reginapolice
Seriously ... you DON'T want to be caught using your cellphone while driving. That's a whopping $280 fine (and that’s not including the financial penalties or loss of Safe Driver Recognition insurance discounts). #TrafficTipTuesday#JustDrive
This was ticket #5 so far this morning (got #6 while typing the tweet running stationary Radar) driver locked in at 75 in a 50, $200 fine. I'm closing in on 1000 speeding tickets issue since January #slowdown@reginapolice
We are ROLLING on the #DistractedDrivingRidealong with Cst. Mike “Hawkeye” Seel of @reginapolice. This guy is ridiculously good at catching distracted drivers. He’s personally written 900+ this year. So you’ll want to put down your phone and #JustDrive
Was at a light beside a vehicle when I looked over and saw a full-size iPad mounted to the dash of a vehicle. The driver was also watching a movie or video while driving. Cost the driver $175 for having a screen in view of the driver @reginapolice#DistractedDriving
Cst Tomaschefski strikes again! Stopped this vehicle for 71 in a 50. Driver flagged as suspended on SGI. The driver is an unauthorized driver by SGI, making a 30 day vehicle impound mandatory. $192 fine for speeding and a court summons for driving suspended @reginapolice
