@sabeer I will add to yours Sabeer - the temple and the state needs to be separated. We need to learn to hold politicians accountable and not defend them. Let the politicians defend, citizens should only ask questions. Keep the god out of this equation.
@radleftreceipts Not true - The 3,200 figure refers to Xbox’s global workforce, not specifically to employees in the United States. Microsoft has not publicly stated that all 3,200 affected employees are U.S.-based.
@KonstantinKisin@danheld Elon being hated is more than just success - his handling of DOGE, creating the hate capital X etc. He should rise above the left vs right politics IMO. Warren is not hated though. Elon is not a fitting example. GDP growth is similar with dems and rep. Is the concept fitting ?
@entreprneursonx Haha.. this is so full of contradictions and Elon is a purist is the conclusion. This is some 10 year olds assessment or what? Climate change , EV and shorting a stock has nothing to do with each other.
@MARCUS907935 I don’t think he said Vaibhav’s skill is bad, he said the fitness is bad. This is true though. As sportsmen one has to constantly work on both.
@Iam_Rohit_G What’s wrong with you people. Sitting on the floor is a choice. I’ve lived in so many European countries where people sit on the floor for concerts. Even in schools I’ve seen kids and parents sit on the floor. Not sure what you find great about it 🤔
@BritIndianVoice I think you missed an important - respect for the British culture. It’s ok that Indians being their value system as you have enunciated, but it’s also your duty to value the culture of the host country. As an expat on the move, I find it odd that people are unable to do so…
@IndiaBitcoinMan Well researched article. It’s also the story of Fiat in general. The one that stands out here is the demonetization which is an isolated instance of choice.
@LynAldenContact The level of parenting is very bad these days and things with social media have gone out of control. As a parent, it’s my top priority. We need societal level restriction or we risk losing an entire generation of youngsters to mental health and low self esteem. It’s serious!!!
No, you don't get it.
He does not have $1 trillion sitting in cash, it is 99% stock in his companies.
To make that wealth liquid would mean selling all that stock which would swiftly destroy *both* the companies (Tesla, SpaceX, others) and the wealth. If he sold it all, he'd end up with maybe $100b max, several hundred thousand people would be out of work, the companies ruined and many of their suppliers also ruined.
Okay, but now Elon has $100b in cash, and can "solve the world's problems".
$100b divided by the world's 8 billion people is $12
If you were in charge, several of the most innovative industrial companies in the world would be destroyed, hundreds of thousands out of work, and space would again close to human civilization for another generation.
But everyone on earth could have one nice meal and you could revel in your altruism.
@turiyatman It’s not just about work. Indians carry the hustle attitude in every aspect of their life - relationships, kids, education. This hustle culture has gotten too deep. Indians need to learn to build quality lives and relationships.
@Liathetrader@arianaelena97 Not correct. Not everyone should be a stock trader. We need human progress and smart people too. Rich people haven’t figured everything out as much as they think they did…
