Let me tell you something.
In 2023, President Nana Addo said it would cost about $114 million to complete the Saglemi Housing Project, saying it was too expensive for government.
So, instead of completing Saglemi, the government decided to build a new affordable housing project at Pokuase and hand over Saglemi to the private sector to complete.
1 August 2023, President Nana Addo cut the sod for the construction of a revised 8,000-unit affordable housing project, named βMy Home, My Peace,β at Pokuase.
they promised the first 4,000 units would be completed within 18 months.
Today, 20 August 2026, there is still nothing to write home about regarding the revised affordable housing project.
Saglemi has been abandoned. The Pokuase project has also been left hanging. No prosecution. No arrests. Nothing.
It has been 14 years of Saglemi β 6 years under the NDC and 8 years under the NPP β and we are still nowhere.
The youth of Ghana, we are simply not angry enough at our leaders.
