これ本当にあると思う。
私も大学生の頃、認知症になり言葉もわからなくなってしまった祖母に会いに行った時に、いつも通り普通に祖母に話しかけてたら、そばにいた母が急に泣き出した。

ほぼ寝たきりになり、全てが変わってしまった祖母に、いつも通り楽しく世間話をしてた私になんだか救われたらしい。
祖母が亡くなってしばらく経つ今でも、
母は酔うと「あのときおいどんちゃんがいたから頑張れた」ってよく言ってる。
私はよく分からないけど、母を笑顔にできてよかったと思ってる。
