Since you asked nicely, I’ll actually explain!

Last week, I had Ole Miss at No. 5 and Florida rounding out my ballot at No. 25.

In my eyes, giving UF a 10-spot bump for one game a month into the season seemed like a fair move.

I didn’t want to put a team I had 25th all the way up into the top 10 (unless it was like the first week), especially since while their offense is obviously great, their defense is… shaky.

Ole Miss I still have top-10 because I’m very high on them still and they do have that great win over LSU (I intentionally placed them ahead of the Tigers because of H2H).

Florida padded the record with FAU (66-21) and Campbell (52-3). Their only real test was a 5 point escape at Auburn.
Ole Miss already took down #24 Louisville 41-38 and #7 LSU 32-24.

I do find it particularly funny how much legs this narrative has grown in a game that was won simply because it was the road team. Florida was flagged 16 times - objectively a lot - 7!!! of them were procedural penalties. Not all flags have the same impact. You can break them down.

Several others entirely inconsequential, two personal fouls after scoring plays which were enforced on a kickoff. Pointless. A holding call on a 6 yard punt return. Changes nothing. The only truly bad call was the unnecessary roughness hit on the QB going out bounds.

While Auburn had 6 flags thrown, 3 of them directly extended drives that led to 17 points. lol one of which being an egregious PI call to start the game.

Weird hill to die on after a win.
