We've got updated sports sector guidelines from the DECD. High risk sports are prohibited, in-person road races are postponed, and everyone is wearing masks.

Updated DPH guidance allows for CIAC winter sports to begin practice on Jan. 19, games as early as Feb. 1. But no #ctwr, competitive cheer or dance due to high-risk category. #ctbb#ctgb#cthk#ctgym#cttrack https://t.co/EGBQJUhlBL
@GovNedLamont As small business owners, we urge you to #endthepause on team sports on Jan 19 as planned. We ask to be able to train in our own gym with our teams (more than 4 athletes!), as we've proven we can do so safely. Please see our full letter here: https://t.co/A2nLN3O4Qe
@GovNedLamont Thank you for the update, but we really need the DECD guidelines for youth and club sports to be posted ASAP! Shutting down small businesses in this sector with 3 days notice and no real guidance or rules about what we can and can’t do yet...
@hartfordcourant Would love to see more data. If an athlete gets infected by a teammate at a social gathering (outside of team activities), is that counted as an sports-related outbreak?
@McFarland_Shawn Would love to see where Lamont’s data came from. We’ve had hundreds of athletes play in our gym safely with 0 cases traced back to NEVBC since June. Devastating news.
