I feel this in my bones. “Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'” — Isaac Asimov
@WorshipTheCross Please point to me where in any of Jesus’ teachings, he advocated that death should be the punishment met out for something? I’ll wait.
@jltechie@SkylineReport No, he’s mad because tariffs under trumps first term bankrupted farmers and they needed a federal bailout and yet the farmers voted for him AGAIN knowing that he ran on tariffs that would, you guessed it, lead to their financial hardship and ruin again.
@fore_driver@MNPDNashville I mean, I'm with you - but I think the problem is a lot more difficult than anyone can appreciate. You're talking about inebriated humans that climb and fall over things. I'm sure some of the solution is better guards, but a larger portion is enforcement for over serving at bars
@TheCAThomas@piper4missouri No, it’s not. Honestly I don’t know if the original post qualified or not. I’m speaking to the IRS rules. If the church invited him & he talked politics & stumped for election that’s a violation. If he just railed about the nation being not to his liking and urged ppl to vote, no
@TheCAThomas@piper4missouri all section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office.
@KeithKopinski @GravitysRa1nbow I mean, when you think about the person that would answer a random phone call from an unknown number and then stay on the line for a poll… it tells you all you need to know about how these numbers are what they are.
@mitchellbwright@kenwheeler I've been to a bar like that, where the bartender asks you what kind of flavors you like, what kind of mood you're in, and then brings you back a drink.
The government saying they need mass surveillance powers in the name of national security is a time-tested tactic. As spy agencies fight to renew Section 702, be ready for the scary stories of what would happen if they needed to respect our privacy. https://t.co/w85AADwdNo
This 👉#Nashville is building bridges for the 1st time in 45 years due to @JoeBiden . Not ONE of these bastards with the #Republican party voted for it. NOT ONE ! Wake up #Tennessee
@Telegraph Matthew Lynn, author of such amazing forward looking statements like "[Apple] will sell a few to its fans, but the iPhone won't make a long-term mark on the industry." Yeah, THIS guy has the inside track on what does and doesn't work in the business landscape.
This is like bragging about your new weight-loss plan, which is to start smoking. If you honestly think a stadium will foster economic development, contrary to ALL available research, you are not merely wrong, you are incompetent.
