Hard to imagine a more lazily written and published piece than this one from @firstthingsmag, in which the author—apparently citing a playful tweet from today—seriously cites our "annual Zoë conference" (we do not have an annual Zoë conference) in the past tense—"was attempted recently"—and identifies it as "an algorithm trained to impersonate the dead French philosopher." Oh really? An algorithm trained? I'd love someone, anyone, from FT to spend even 60 seconds fact-checking this article, because the event the author is apparently referencing takes place well over a month in the future, from July 26-28, this year, and you should definitely be there.

Dude, I probably dislike the Benedict AI just as much as you do. But this is egregious.

Almost makes me wonder if the article was written by...AI.
