Norwalk Fire Department Marine Unit MU238 responded to a 18 foot boat that capsized near Grassy Island with 4 people clinging to the hull of the vessel. All 4 people were removed from the water onto MU238.
Norwalk Fire Companies were operating a commercial building fire this morning on the East Side. The business launders linen for businesses including our fire stations. Only one of their three buildings were damaged, the fire was brought under control in under 2 hours.

Last night NFD members assisted Eversource with a fire at their power station. Members used dry-chemical to extinguish the fire in a switch room once Eversource secured the power. No one was injured but many power outages were experienced around the city.
