Everything he's done, he's done intentionally so all those things could happen.

From the gas prices to the stock market to the war, he and his billionaire buddies are getting richer than they could ever have dreamed.

When he said "we'll be winning" and "we'll be rich," he meant it.

The problem is, he wasn't talking to US.

Jim McIngvale—known across Texas as “Mattress Mack”—owns Gallery Furniture, a massive luxury furniture showroom with millions of dollars of handcrafted beds and sofas.

When the grid failed and hypothermia began killing elderly residents, Mack didn't lock his doors to protect his inventory.
He turned on his private backup industrial generators, unlocked every door, and posted a video online:
“If you are cold, if you need heat, if you need a place to sleep, come to Gallery Furniture. We got heat, we got food, we got beds. Everyone is welcome.”

He didn't ask for credit cards.
He didn't ask for identification.
He didn't put plastic covers over his $5,000 mattresses.

Over a thousand cold, desperate strangers poured through the front doors.
Mack let mothers and babies sleep on luxury king-sized beds.
He let homeless men curl up on designer sofas with their dogs.
He brought in catering trucks and paid out of his own pocket to serve hot chili, brisket, and breakfast to hundreds of people every day.

Critics asked him: “Aren't you worried people will ruin your expensive furniture?”
Mack looked the reporter straight in the eyes:
“Furniture is just stuff. You can replace mattresses. You can replace wood. You can't replace human lives.”

He did the same thing during Hurricane Harvey.
He did it during Tropical Storm Imelda.

This isn't corporate philanthropy.
This is raw American neighborly love.

While you are enjoying your Saturday, this man is serving a 130-year sentence for conviction secured with no DNA, with no fingerprints, with numerous constitutional violations, and with falsified evidence.

Perhaps out of embarrassment or desperation coming from allowing a horrendous crime to go unsolved for years, the State of Indiana (or “gitmo”) butchered their conduct, ethics, and integrity in their case against Richard Allen.

They got it wrong factually.

They got it wrong procedurally.

They got it wrong post-conviction.

They’ll continue to get it wrong as they defend their heinous actions against Richard Allen pre-trial.

They’ll continue to get it wrong as they twist themselves into a pretzel to convince you, the public, and the Court of Appeals that they did not torture a man into a false confession.

They’ll continue to get it wrong until Richard Allen is released and given a new trial, and possibly even solace with his family again.

They’ll get it wrong until the other parties (with more circumstantial evidence against them than Allen had) are thoroughly investigated and the people responsible for the death of AW & LG are brought to justice.

Indiana, please get one thing right! 🙏🏼
