The climb was hard. The legs were finished. But Wanale Ridge had other plans.

We found natural jacuzzi pools in the waterfall and a breathtaking view of Mbale waiting at the top.

Some views have to be earned. This one definitely was.

This morning, as we get ready for Gorilla Trekking, we were entertained by one of the best women-led tourism projects,

#Ride 4 A Woman.”

This community supports over 300 women financially and socially while promoting community tourism through traditional dances, crafts, and other experiences.

They also offer free coffee to tourists, giving visitors a taste of the local culture and community hospitality.

A beautiful example of Women Empowerment, Community Tourism, and Conservation in Bwindi.
