@aproko_doctor I knew when my legs could no longer carry me and I stopped being able to think properly or even make an accurate diagnosis even when it was staring at me
MYTH: You should starve yourself when you have a stomach bug.
FACT: Your gut needs fuel to recover.
The old "starve a stomach bug" advice is outdated.
What actually helps:
โ Small bland meals โ rice, toast, bananas
โ Oral rehydration salts
โ Plenty of fluids
โ Rest
Feed your recovery. Don't fight it. ๐
MYTH: You can catch up on sleep at the weekend.
FACT: Sleep debt is real โ but weekend catch up doesn't fully reverse it.
Studies show that even after recovery sleep, reaction time, mood and metabolic function remain impaired.
The only real solution is consistent nightly sleep.
You can't binge sleep your way to health. ๐ดโ
It's Friday ๐
This week I want to know โ
What's one health myth you believed for years before finding out it was wrong?
Mine? I used to think cracking your back was bad for your spine.
Turns out โ mostly harmless. ๐

Allergic rhinitis affects 1 in 5 people.
Yet most people manage it wrong for years.
Signs you have it:
โข Sneezing fits โ especially in the morning
โข Persistent runny or blocked nose
โข Itchy eyes, nose or throat
โข Symptoms that come and go with seasons or environments
It's not just a nuisance โ untreated allergic rhinitis worsens asthma, disrupts sleep and affects concentration.
