Have you heard about "earth bag" builds? Just watched a YouTube clip & I have mixed feelings. There is the undeniable use of modern engineering techniques & tools but the basics are still indigenous building methods. Basically a mud hut or manyatta but in larger scale.

I haven't yet seen attribution to the indigenous pple that have been building this way for centuries. It just appears repackaged as something new & modern. There are clips out there about 3D printing structures for remote building like on a remote planet using local dust.

What you described here shows even more in Sevens which the Fijian's really excel in. I too wouldn't discount "peripheral contributions" as they add to the sum total leading to the win.
