From Silicon Valley to Token 2049 to bedtime stories. I absolutely enjoyed TJ’s character Ehrlich Bachman on one of my favorite shows @SiliconHBO, so it felt surreal to be roasting together. I couldn’t be more grateful for all the coaching from TJ, I had so much fun and really enjoyed giving standup for the first time! He truly is one of the most genuine and kind people I have met. And Ansem is just brilliant, he did his first roast without any written material and totally went off the cuff. Mind blowing 🤯.

Been thinking about it and I just want to say: the Chinese Communist Party has overseen some truly astonishing infrastructure development.

I think my favorite thing about Singapore right now, is the air quality is dangerously unhealthy, and I see people with masks smoking cigarettes.

I think the CCP has a lot of very positive qualities.
For instance, after the post-1978 market reforms, China experienced extraordinary economic growth and poverty reduction: the World Bank estimates nearly 800 million people escaped extreme poverty. I mean. That rules!
The state also built enormous transport/infrastructure networks, dramatically expanded education and healthcare access which is badass, developed formidable manufacturing and technological capacity, and demonstrated an unusual ability to execute very large long-term national projects.
But for me, the institutional strength is state capacity—once Beijing makes something a priority, the system can mobilize money, bureaucracy and infrastructure at enormous scale. Now- that’s impressive.
