Onto the next one🫡
Wouldn't have been possible w/o their guidance - @joeyousss@plastixcxx@Ruchicodess
Haven’t worked with voice AI before, but following the @pyannoteAI Precision-3 release was surprisingly easy!
The diarization improvements & tunable speech & crosstalk sensitivity were interesting to learn about.
The upcoming Precision-4 features look exciting too. Can’t wait!
Day 4: How to find OSS projects to contribute to
v useful resource: https://t.co/ifsKTFr3b3
"Where do I even start?" is a valid first ques!
>Initially start with documentation issues
>Look for issues with clear instructions to begin
#BuildInPublic@CodessCafe@plastixcxx
Learnt an imp lesson:
>Initially merged my PR into main of my own fork instead of the OG repo.
Learning: Before creating PR, verify base repo and branch.
(Your fork should be head and OG repo should be base)

What is Open Source?
>Public source code
>Use, run, modify, and redistribute
>Unlike freeware where the app may be free to use but code is closed
Common open source licenses: MIT, Apache 2.0, GPL
Why Open Source?
>Learn, contribute, collaborate, and create on existing software
@CodessCafe@joeyousss Key Takeaways:
>Why visibility is important: If you don't cheer for yourself, no one else will.
> Don't need to read the entire codebase to contribute
>Maintainers can differentiate between an AI contribution and a human contribution.
Got selected for @CodessCafe OSS Cohort 8!!
