A student of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has reportedly d+ed following an incident involving cadets of Man O’ War Nigeria, sparking tension and protests on campus.

According to multiple reports, the 100-level Cybersecurity student was apprehended by the cadets over an allegation of th+ft involving ₦13,000. He was allegedly held in custody for questioning, during which students claim he was assa¥lted for several hours.

Eyewitness accounts suggest that some students attempted to intervene and appealed for restraint, but the situation reportedly continued. The student was later said to have become unresponsive overnight while still in custody.

The incident has triggered outrage among students of Federal University of Technology Owerri, with protest reportedly ongoing as they demand a full investigation and accountability for those involved.

In response to the growing unrest, the school authorities have reportedly placed an indefinite suspension on Man O’ War activities on campus pending further inquiry.
