@voretaq7 I guess I'm just done with the idea that shielding companies from liability, in general, is an inherent good. We've been doing it for a long time, and it doesn't seem to be working out great for us, and I for one am ready to try erring in the other direction for a bit.

@voretaq7 In short, I'm saying that I agree holding companies liable for gross misuse of their products is problematic, but no one actually thinks this isn't the use these products are intended for

@voretaq7 I'm saying at some point the law needs to acknowledge that the massive lobbing effort to block CDC investigation of gun deaths, the constant appeals to the 2nd amendment, the racist subtext of the NRA, etc, isn't about bear hunting. That at some point subtext counts too.

@voretaq7 With all due respect, history so far has shown we can't. The legislative branch has effectively legalized it's own bribery in this matter, to an appalling degree. The recourse our system gives for that is the courts.
