For those who are friendly with Mike on X: On October 19th, at 6:53 pm, Mike passed away in bed with his daughters and wife at his side. Mike endured a nearly year long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was on home hospice for a little over a month, where his wife took incredible care of him.
He displayed a sense of strength that we always knew he was capable of. We were honored to witness it in real time.
His outspoken opinions on today’s political issues will be greatly missed. His family loves and misses him tremendously.

Road kill lasts about a day in this part of Florida. The cleanup crew shows up in force. This armadillo was dead on the road this morning and by afternoon it had been pulled off.
