The worst flying experience happened this week at @Schiphol.
My flight to Amsterdam got delayed for 7 hours and I missed the connection to the US on Jan 5.
After arrival at Amsterdam, airport and @KLM personnel were not able to help or direct people to understand what they should do.
All the transfer service centers were closed. And only response we got - “We don’t know, just wait for the email with the updates”. Should people stay in airport or go find a hotel? Most of the trains were cancelled too, taxi was almost impossible to call, all the apps couldn’t assign a driver.
Few hours after arrival I finally rebooked the flight for tomorrow by phone and went to hotel by only available train this evening (fully packed).
Then at night I receive a message that tomorrow’s flight is cancelled too. Calling the airline once again and only available date is Jan 8.
3 DAYS AFTER INITIAL DATE.
I spoke with airlines for another 30 minutes to find any earlier flights at nearby cities or countries, the only options was from Paris to US for Jan 7. I decided to take it, since there will be another snowstorm in AMS this week and flights will be delayed again.
Thanks to @united for rebooking to another city and helping to find an options to fly out from Europe.
Next morning I booked the last train ticket to Paris and went to airport to pick up a luggage, but airport team said that I need to file “lost luggage” report at my final destination as they are too busy to find it now.
Going to Paris right now and hoping that I can finally fly out tomorrow.
Why is airport canceling flights for 6 days straight when snowstorm passed few days ago? Now they barely have a snow in the city. It’s snowing every winter in Europe, what’s happening now?
@RippleXrpie Why? It will never make good returns. Maybe you could get another X from it. But all other top crypto are much better, even just simply investing in ETH
