WORST MARK VILLAR PROJECT IN MANILA

Two days ago, sumigaw at nagalit si Sec. Vince Dizon sa mga Manila DPWH engineers.

Hingi kasi sila ng hingi ng budget para sa repair and maintenance ng “Sunog Apog Pumping Station” eh hindi naman gumagana since 2020.

Binigyan sila ng 94 Million ngayong 2025 Budget at humihingi pa ng 200 Million for 2026!

BUT, the project itself was already funded with a whopping 774 Million in 2017.

Nagsimula yung construction nuong 2018 tapos nag inauguration 2020 pero never gumana kahit hanggang ngayon.

According to PhilStar, barangay officials said they never needed the pumping station in the first place. They claimed they were not consulted before construction began.

And sa investigation ni Sec. Vince Dizon, imbes na makatulong eh nakaka perwisyo at dagdag pa yung Pumping Station sa problema ng baha.

Guess who funded and inaugurated the pumping station when he was a DPWH Secretary?

Tahimik lang kayo. Si Mark Villar lang naman.

CHEL PRESSES JUDICIARY ON FAST-TRACKING CORRUPTION CASES, MONITORING CONVICTS

House Assistant Minority Leader and Akbayan Partylist Rep. Chel Diokno on Wednesday, September 24, pressed the Judiciary to fast-track corruption cases and ensure that those convicted by final judgment are actually serving their sentences.

During deliberations on the proposed 2026 budget of the Judiciary under House Bill No. 4058, Diokno asked what reforms were being pursued to address delays in corruption trials. House Committee on Appropriations Vice Chairperson and Cagayan de Oro City 2nd District Rep. Rufus Rodriguez, who stood as sponsor, replied that the Sandiganbayan is drafting new rules to cut trial time to just 120 days.

Diokno also pushed for a permanent monitoring system involving multiple agencies to track convicts, emphasizing that accountability must go beyond conviction to actual punishment. Rodriguez said the Court Administrator will soon convene to finalize new monitoring rules and welcomed Diokno's proposal.
