How minimal and thin you can make borders/tab bars/titles, vs blobby native UI. Navigating copy mode like it's my editor. Prefix-based key bindings.

@moultano Came close? We had a massive beehive high up on a ledge at our school that lasted 10 years before being brought down. Twice, a person right next to me I was walking and talking with were stung, but not me.

Lots in common with general anti-intellectualism - good acting, writing, editing, lyricism, production, camerawork are all filler. Everything is identical to its two-sentence/ten-second gist, you don't need anything else. We were primed and ripe for slop years in advance.

@moultano Henry Coe's Manzanita campground pretty much always has spots, and it's always incredible. We went once during the complete drought, and once after heavy rains, completely different experience.

@1RAOKADAY @moultano I use Twitter mostly on desktop and on Firefox on Android (I don't use the app), and I get, quite literally, ~0 ads. I honestly don't remember the last time I saw one. I even sat with a friend and compared feeds, scrolling pages and pages. Nada on mine.

@moultano Found out this month visiting my sister (and my niece, getting me sick): a throat coat tea. I've always had a kettle getting me warm water when I'm sick, but after a few cups, it dries out my throat so bad. Throat coat gives you the best of both world

@PatrickHeizer It's also frustrating to hear "people can now do whatever they're passionate about", but they're also hyping AI being able to do all the things people would want to do, and don't realize many people already do their passions for a living.

@IsaacKing314 @suchenzang I think people deeply underestimate how good computer engineers think they are at math (and physics!) without having ever done any. I don't have a hard time imagining someone perfectly stable thinking they're solving a millennium problem
