If I was starting a new project from zero today, this is exactly where I’d start.
It doesn’t matter if the project is a business, a family project, research, content, software, or something completely different.
The foundation can stay the same.
THE FOUNDATION
AGENTS.md tells the agents how to operate.
PROJECT.md defines what we’re actually trying to accomplish.
STATUS.md keeps everyone grounded in where the project stands right now.
DECISIONS.md preserves the important choices so they don’t disappear into old conversations.
THE ORGANIZATION
inbox/ gives everything new a temporary landing place.
areas/ breaks the project into whatever major sections naturally make sense for that specific project.
resources/ holds the files, references, assets, notes, data, and other material the project depends on.
THE WORK
work/ separates what’s queued, what’s actively being worked on, and what’s already completed.
outputs/ gives finished or review-ready work a clear destination.
archive/ keeps old or replaced material without cluttering the active project.
THE SCALING PART
This is where it gets useful.
The root AGENTS.md contains the rules that apply to the entire project.
If one area becomes complicated enough, that folder can get its own AGENTS.md with instructions specific to that area.
If it grows again, you can repeat the same pattern another level down.
The goal isn’t to build a massive system on day one.
Start with a universal foundation.
Then specialize downward only when the complexity actually earns it.
Witcheer just put together a seriously useful Hermes resource.
A full map of YouTube videos worth watching, organized by what you actually want to learn:
Getting started, business, real setups, skills, agent teams, and job-specific workflows.
Definitely worth saving. Check out the full thread below.
Ten people build the same Hermes agent ten different ways.🚀🪽
I got tired of seeing the same questions, so I built an archive of working examples.
What you get:
- 100+ tested workflows with full code
- Real prompts that actually work
- Filter by use case: automation, webhooks, multi-agent
- Setup guides and common failure points
All open source. All credited.
One dev automated GitHub releases with cron. Another built a Telegram assistant that routes to 3 specialized agents.

I gave Hermes OS one voice command and watched it build a website
“Create a website for a hair salon.”
My agent started writing code, moving through windows, and building the site right in front of me. I could follow the whole process in real time
I just added native voice commands to Hermes OS, and there’s an important difference:
Controlling the OS uses zero model tokens. Those commands run natively. You can control your entire computer through your voice
Tokens only come into play when I ask Hermes Agent to do a task
This is what I wanted Hermes OS to feel like
Tell my computer what I need. Watch it get to work.

THIS IS FUCKING INSANE.
a Chinese developer just released a FREE tool that can turn one script and one photo into a complete video with a presenter.
it was just released and already has 26,000 stars.
it’s called
"lanshu-create-ai-presenter-video".
here's how it works:
you give it a script and a presenter photo you have permission to use.
the AI creates the voice, makes the presenter talk, and matches the lips to the audio.
then it adds the subtitles, creates the cover, checks that everything is synced properly, and gives you the finished video with a quality report.
the final video is 9:16, 1080x1920, 30fps, and 45-75 seconds long.
and the crazy part is
it does all of this in one run on your own computer.
if you make short form content, save this before you make your next video.
will be dropping more free tools soon,
so bookmark
Someone just built a personalized morning newspaper that can print itself before you even get out of bed 👀
And yes, you can do this with Hermes too.
This is such a sick use case.
A printed morning briefing waiting for you with whatever matters most:
→ email highlights
→ weather
→ today’s calendar
→ important news
→ reminders
→ task list
→ meeting notes
→ shopping or meal plans
→ a personal edition built just for you
→ a family edition with schedules, events, meals and reminders
There are plenty of ways you could build this with Hermes. One simple route is using Tailscale to connect Hermes to a computer that already has access to your printer, then letting that machine handle the printing.
Wake up, grab the page, and your whole morning is already lined up.
This is one hell of a plugin for Hermes that EVERYONE needs. 🔥
Need a specialized agent built around a specific job? Or an entire team with a lead and specialists?
Have Hermes build them for you.
Bot Forge is a community plugin by @BkashJosi that lets you describe the help you need and have Hermes create the bots, with their own instructions, memory, tools and dedicated chats.
The useful part is giving each agent a clear job and configuring it around that work, instead of handing one agent every responsibility.
Here’s what you can do:
› Build a whole team. Create a lead with up to six specialists, each with its own role and instructions on who it reports to.
› Tailor each specialist. Choose its instructions, tools, skills and model to fit the job. Change those later through chat without rebuilding the bot.
› Teach it your process. Save procedures as reusable skills, so you can give a bot your workflow rather than just a job title.
› Give it recurring work. Add scheduled tasks that deliver results into the bot’s own chat.
› Reuse what you build. Duplicate a bot for another purpose, start from a template, or share and import bot designs.
› Check the team. Find stopped gateways, paused or never-run routines, and other setup issues that need attention.
An example request:
“Build me a content team with a researcher, writer and editor reporting to a lead. Give each specialist instructions and tools suited to its role.”
You decide what help you need. Hermes helps turn that into a team you can keep teaching and adjusting.
